SCE480B Methods of Teaching Science - Walters

My scientist is conducting an experiment. He is creating or manipulating some formula in order to test his hypothesis. This is what scientists do. They are physically involved in their work. They actively seek answers and solutions to their inquiries.

My science teacher is teaching her students vocabulary relating to science terms and formulas. This lesson has no active, hands-on experiment. This is how I was taught science, but it is not the way I want to teach science.
