With the help of a large screen TV or LCD Projector (see above), you can easily share, explain or display a single item so that they entire class can participate. Flatbed Scanner: Use this device to convert documents, articles and samples of student work into a format that can be viewed on a webpage. Process only takes 5 minutes per item. When scanning articles, use the handy OCR software (optical character reading) to be able to edit and/or make easily read by students. Perfect for developing online resources in WebCT and Livetext. Digital Camcorder: Video creation made amazingly easy! Simply use as a regular camera, then (by the power provided by FireWire Technology) plug into your computer and capture the video, quickly editing out the flaws and guffaws. (PT3 provided one in Chicago, three in Milwaukee)
VHS Camcorder: Use this mini-VHS camera to record classroom activities and lessons. This is a standard camera that can display its tapes in any VCR when using its special tape adapter. Editing and creating movies with this camera isn't as easy as with a digital camcorder, but can be done using a media converter such as Dazzle. (PT3 provided one in Milwaukee)
External Hard Drive: These handy devices are the perfect answer to carrying several gigabytes of files. Because these devices are not only cross-platform and USB and Firewire compatible, they can be easily connected to any laptop or computer. (PT3 provided three in Milwaukee, one in McLean)

Portable Printer: Ever needed a printer during that long meeting, or gone to a conference only to have no way to print out your final handouts? This printer is available for you to take along for the trip. Just install the software and plug in to your computer. (PT3 provided one in Chicago.)
Tripod: Video recording requires a tripod especially when you have no other person available to hold the camera. Easy to set-up and makes a huge difference in the quality of the recording since there is no jiggling around. (PT3 provided three in Milwaukee, one in Chicago).
CD Rom Burner: Make your own CDs. They can hold valuable resources and readings for classes, videos of case studies, or electronic portfolios. Or make a backup of your data and lock it away. (PT3 provided two in Milwaukee, one in Chicago, one in Evanston).
