Hello!   Welcome to my page!   This page is about me and my life...

My philosophy of life is summarized in George Bernard Shaw's quote,

" Life is no "brief candle" to me.  It is a sort of splendid torch which I have got hold of for the moment, and I want to make it burn as brightly as possible before handing it on to future generations."

Here is a bit of my history!  I have mostly learned to take risks and try lots of things in life.  Therefore, you will know what you want and don't want in life when you grow up!

My Academic Background:
For my undergraduate degree at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana, I studied photojournalism and had a double minor in marketing and public health.     Following graduation,  I accepted a position as a leadership consultant for Alpha Sigma Alpha national sorority.  It allotted me the opportunity to travel to various colleges across the U.S. and to search for a graduate school.  I returned to Ball State University to pursue a masters degree in organizational communication with a specialization in training and consulting.   I am currently enrolled at Walden University pursuing my Ph.D. in Applied Management and Decision Sciences with a specialization in Leadership and Organizational Change.  My current research involves the changing dynamics of retirement, intergenerational mentoring and the creation of a center of transition into retirement.
